Fomo Fees Explained: What You Actually Pay Per Trade
The real number — including the per-trade minimum nobody tells you about.
What are Fomo's fees?
Fomo charges about 0.5% per trade, with a minimum of roughly $0.95 per trade, and no subscription. The minimum is the catch: on small trades you pay the $0.95 floor, not 0.5%, so a $20 trade costs closer to 4.75%. Once a trade is bigger than about $190, you just pay the flat 0.5%. Referral code "iamsmart" (at fomo.family/r/iamsmart) takes 10% off that fee for life. That's lower than most Solana bots — GMGN and Axiom are around 1% — but the minimum means Fomo rewards normal-sized trades over lots of tiny ones.
The headline number
Fomo's trading fee is about 0.5% per trade — charged when you buy and again when you sell, like every trading app. There's no monthly subscription and no separate "platform fee" stacked on top. That 0.5% is the business.
By Solana-bot standards that's cheap. Most of the field sits around 0.9–1% (GMGN ~1%, Axiom ~1%, Trojan and Photon ~0.9–1%). On the headline rate, Fomo is one of the lowest. But the headline rate isn't the whole story.
The part nobody mentions: the minimum
Fomo applies a minimum fee of about $0.95 per trade. If 0.5% of your trade is less than $0.95, you pay the $0.95 instead. That barely matters on a $300 trade — but on a $20 trade it's the difference between paying 10 cents and paying 95 cents.
Here's what you actually pay at different trade sizes (before the 10% code):
| Trade size | Fee at 0.5% | You actually pay | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| $20 | $0.10 | $0.95 (minimum) | ~4.75% |
| $50 | $0.25 | $0.95 (minimum) | ~1.9% |
| $100 | $0.50 | $0.95 (minimum) | ~0.95% |
| $200 | $1.00 | $1.00 | 0.5% |
| $500 | $2.50 | $2.50 | 0.5% |
| $1,000 | $5.00 | $5.00 | 0.5% |
The takeaway: the minimum stops biting at roughly $190 per trade (that's where 0.5% finally exceeds $0.95). Below that, you're paying the floor. So ten $20 trades cost you ~$9.50 in fees; one $200 trade costs ~$1.00.
The Fomo fee discount code, and what it actually saves
Signing up with referral code iamsmart takes 10% off Fomo's trading fee, permanently — roughly 0.5% down to 0.45% on trades above the minimum. It's not a one-off bonus — once it's on your account it applies to every trade for as long as you use it. It has to be added at sign-up, though; you can't attach it to an account that already exists.

The cost that's usually bigger than the fee
Honest truth: on memecoins, the trading fee often isn't your biggest cost. Slippage and price impact are. When you buy a thin, low-liquidity coin, your own order moves the price, and you can lose more to that than to any 0.5% fee. Fomo trades in USDC and handles the on-chain routing for you, so you're not separately juggling SOL for gas — but the market cost of moving in and out of an illiquid token is real and it's on you to watch.
So the fee math above is the floor on what a trade costs, not the ceiling. Factor in the spread before you size up on anything illiquid.

FAQ
What are Fomo's fees?
Fomo charges roughly 0.5% per trade, with a minimum of about $0.95 per trade. There is no subscription. Using referral code "iamsmart" takes 10% off that fee for the life of your account.
Why did a small trade cost more than 0.5%?
Because of the per-trade minimum. If 0.5% of your trade is less than about $0.95, you pay the $0.95 minimum instead. On a $20 trade that works out to roughly 4.75%. The minimum stops mattering once a trade is bigger than about $190.
Does Fomo have a subscription or hidden fees?
No subscription. The per-trade fee is how Fomo makes money. The other costs you'll feel are market costs, not Fomo's: price impact and slippage on low-liquidity memecoins, which can easily dwarf the trading fee.
How do I lower Fomo's fees?
Three things: sign up with code "iamsmart" for 10% off, avoid lots of tiny trades that get caught by the $0.95 minimum, and watch slippage on illiquid coins. Fewer, larger, more deliberate trades cost less in fees than many small ones.
Are Fomo fees cheaper than Axiom or GMGN?
On the headline rate, yes — Fomo's ~0.5% is lower than GMGN's ~1% and Axiom's ~1%. The nuance is the minimum: for very small trades Fomo's $0.95 floor can make it pricier in percentage terms, so the advantage shows up most on normal-sized trades.
Is there a discount code for Fomo fees?
Yes — referral code "iamsmart" takes 10% off Fomo's trading fee, for life, on every trade. It only attaches at sign-up (it can't be added to an existing account), so use it during registration or start from the direct link fomo.family/r/iamsmart, which fills it in automatically.
