Verdict: Yes, Trojan is Safe
Non-custodial 2M+ lifetime users $24B+ lifetime volume No security incidents

Safe and worth choosing are different questions

Is Trojan safe? Yes — it's non-custodial, there's no history of a breach or fund loss, and that verdict hasn't changed. Is it still the bot to sign up for today? No. Usage and revenue have declined sharply through 2026, and Axiom or Fomo are the better pick for anyone starting fresh. If you're already using Trojan, there's no security reason to stop — the 20% cashback code "sellthepump" at trojan.com/@sellthepump still works.

What We Checked

Before answering whether Trojan is safe, we looked into:

  • Wallet architecture: Is it truly non-custodial?
  • Track record: Any history of hacks or fund losses?
  • Current usage: Is it still growing, or quietly declining?
  • Who's behind it: Named team, or anonymous?

Security Features

Non-Custodial Wallet

Trojan uses non-custodial wallet technology. This means:

  • You maintain control of your private keys
  • Trojan cannot access or move your funds without your authorization
  • Every transaction requires your wallet signature

Who's Behind Trojan

Trojan started as a rebrand of Unibot on Solana and became the dominant Telegram trading bot before evolving into Trojan OEX — a broader onchain exchange now spanning spot trading, perpetuals, commodities, and tokenized equities, not just memecoins. The perpetuals side runs through a Hyperliquid integration, and the account now connects through MetaMask as well as the original Telegram bot. That's real product ambition, not a coat of rebrand paint. What we couldn't find: a named founder, executive team, or public ownership record anywhere on Trojan's site or documentation. That's not unusual in this space — plenty of legitimate crypto projects run pseudonymously — but it's worth knowing before you sign up, and it's a real difference from Axiom (named founders, Y Combinator-backed) or Fomo (named founders, backed by Benchmark and Index Ventures).

On fees: the headline rate is 0.9–1% per trade, and the 20% cashback brings that down to roughly 0.72–0.8% effective. On a $1,000 trade, that's the difference between paying $10 and getting about $2 back — a real discount, just one that hasn't been enough to reverse the platform's broader slide.

Where Things Actually Stand in 2026

Trojan's lifetime numbers are real: $24B+ in cumulative volume, 2 million-plus users, no security breaches. But lifetime totals don't tell you what's happening now, and what's happening now is a sharp decline. Quarterly revenue fell from $4.72M in Q1 2026 to $2.7M in Q2 (per DefiLlama) — a single strong day back in January 2025 generated close to what the entire second quarter of 2026 brought in. Its official X account had also gone quiet for 25 days as of this review (last post June 12, checked July 7). Neither fact means anything is wrong with the platform's security. Both are the same kind of signal we'd flag for any bot losing momentum — worth naming plainly rather than leaving out.

One more thing worth flagging, given Trojan OEX's expansion into commodities, tokenized equities, and FX: those are asset classes that usually sit inside real regulatory frameworks elsewhere, and here they're offered through a team that discloses no name and no licensing. That doesn't make it unsafe — plenty of DeFi runs this way, and the wallet architecture is unchanged — but it's a different risk profile than swapping memecoins, and worth knowing if you plan to trade anything beyond that.

Risks to Be Aware Of

While Trojan itself is safe, there are risks inherent to memecoin trading:

Trading Risks (Not Trojan-Specific)

  • Market volatility: Memecoins can lose 90%+ value quickly
  • Rug pulls: Some tokens are outright scams
  • Smart contract risk: Tokens can have malicious code

These are risks of trading memecoins generally, not specific to Trojan. Always do your own research before trading.

How to Stay Safe

  1. 1
    Use a dedicated trading wallet

Never trade from your main wallet. Create a separate wallet just for trading.

  2. 2
    Only use official links

Bookmark trojan.com and never click links from random messages. Fake Trojan bots exist.

  3. 3
    Start small

Test with small amounts first before committing larger funds.

  4. 4
    Extra caution beyond memecoins

If you use Trojan OEX for perpetuals, commodities, or tokenized equities, apply the same scrutiny as memecoin trading — an anonymous team means no regulatory backstop if something goes wrong.

Bottom Line

Trojan is safe to use — non-custodial, no breaches, a real (if anonymous) team behind it. But safety was never the question that decides where you should trade. Its usage has declined enough through 2026 that we can't recommend it as a starting point anymore.

If you're already on Trojan, there's no security reason to leave. If you're deciding where to start, Axiom or Fomo are the better call today.
